CGA retains highest rating from Regulator of Social Housing

Written by Community Gateway | Tuesday 21 January 2025

In its latest regulatory judgement, the Regulator for Social Housing has awarded Community Gateway Association the highest possible rating for its financial viability and for its governance arrangements. CGA received a ‘G1’ rating for governance and a ‘V1’ rating for viability.

The news came following the annual stability review undertaken by the Regulator. The Regulator looks at housing associations to ensure they meet their economic standards and are financially viable, properly managed and provide value for money.

Craig Garner, CGA’s Executive Director of Resources, expressed his pride in the achievement:

“To remain G1/V1 rated is great news and a testament to the hard work and dedication of colleagues across the business. This recognition provides assurance to our tenants and partners as we look to deliver the goals set out in our new Corporate Plan. As we look ahead, we remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of governance and financial performance, ensuring we continue to provide quality homes and services.”
